This
was written by Reyes’ friend and companion
Charlie Horman who was an American journalist
and was later assassinated by Pinochet. The Costa
Gravas Film « Missing » was based
on the true story of Charlie Horman. This film is a testimony on the three years
of the POPULAR UNITY government, ie Salvador Allende’s
government, upon which the idea of a second Chilean
independence was based.
The film is divided into two parts. The first
details the history of the country and its workers,
who speak of the future for Chile. The second
evaluates the part that the United States government,
the CIA and multinationals like ITT played in
the Coup d’Etat.
